Grilled Cinnamon Maple Pear with Candied Pecans
Ingredients
- Oil with a high smoke point, like rice bran, canola or grapeseed
- 4 ripe bosc pears, halved and cored
CANDIED PECANS
- ½ cup pecans
- 2 tsps. maple syrup
- 1 tsp. water
- Dash of vanilla
- Pinch of salt
CINNAMON MAPLE SYRUP
- 3 tbsps. maple syrup
- ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
Directions
- Make candied pecans. Combine ingredients from pecans to salt in a small saucepan and toast on medium heat for 2-3 minutes, until pecans are thoroughly coated and golden brown. Spread pecans out onto a plate or small baking sheet to cool. Roughly chop and set aside.
- Preheat grill to medium heat.
- Combine maple syrup and ground cinnamon and set aside.
- Oil the grates with Broil King’s Basting Brush.
- Grill pears, cut side down at a 45° angle for 3-4 minutes. Rotate to the opposite 45° angle and grill for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Transfer pears to a platter and drizzle with cinnamon maple syrup. Top with chopped candied pecans and serve.
